Hey guys, how are you?

As for me, been really busy last week. I don't know what got into me but I finished two sewing projects for the first time which were boxer shorts for J.

I did attempt to make some blouses for myself after my sewing lessons but somehow I got impatient and just left it unfinished. These two short however were finished in three days. I cannot believe it was so easy and J was pretty happy with it.

I will try to finish some of these other projects too one of these days.

And then on top of my 2 sewing accomplishments, I also made my very first cupcake or is it muffins? What's the difference actually?

Okay, what I actually made was a cupcake according to Dianna's website because it had an icing or frosting ( whatever you want to call it) on top.
Some say cupcakes have frosting. A basic formula for muffins is 2 cups flour, 2-4 tablespoons sugar, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 egg, 1/4 cup oil, shortening or butter, 1 cup milk. When the fat, sugar and egg ratio in a recipe reaches double or more than this, you have reached the cake level.

My cupcake is not the prettiest but I am kinda proud of myself for getting it right on first try. I still need to practice though ;) To be honest, I prefer muffins over cupcakes. I especially like Blueberry muffins I had when I was in Texas for a visit.

What about you, what do you prefer muffins or cupcakes?

On the F1 race - they luckily had a great weather. On Friday, we picked up my stepson coming from Holland and then we went straight to the city to have dinner. We walked around a bit and ended up being near the gates of the F1 race. Jeezzz, the sounds of the car were so loud, I thought I'd go deaf.

Anyway, for your information a Spaniard named Fernando Alonso won the first night race.

Hi.
Got your link from Mum Ruby,

About your post, I was happy that Aloso won, but I will be happier if Hamilton won. Me and my hubby are F1 fanatics..hehehe. When we were in Bahrain we watched it live, the noise of the engine could make you deaf, thanks God for ear plugs..hehehe..

Btw, yummy muffins or cupcakes? hehehe..

The cupcakes are pretty! I like the pink icing.

It was a dramatic race, Alonso won due to his good driving skill and a bit of good luck. :) Poor Massa is so frustrated.

Cupcakes have icing on them, muffins don't...that's what my mother always told me. They look delicious!!!

The Cupcakes look fabulous. Yum! I love cupcakes moreso than muffins but when I make my cupcakes I usually use a muffin pan. I make them all the time now and I lvoe decorating them. And in regard to your question on the icing flowers. They will last forever (not that you would do that but they can).
