I am just so happy. As some of you know I have lost my very first blog PinayJade.com ( Life and Me) due to some problems with my google account.
It has not been resolved yet but I have waited long enough for G to respond and help me. I took a big step to save my very first blog - I am now self hosted. Yehey! I feel so free!
The great thing is that I can host all my domain and only pay once. I am glad that there are still helpful people like EvilWoobie who lends a hand when asked for help.
I always thought that it would be too complicated for me to self host my blog and use the wordpress software but it turns out it is not that bad. It is intimadating but it is very doable.
I am still working on the transfers of my files at PinayJade.com but feel free to look around and let me know what you think.
And guys and gals ... once I have set up my baby in my new home I will return all your visits. I am actually very tired from all the tweaking, editing and transferring to my new/old blog.
Just bear with me for a little while okay? Love you all!
Now... I need to get a nap coz I didn't really get enough sleep last night, I couldn't stop thinking about my baby.
Anyway, if you are thinking of self hosting your blog and finds it all a little bit too overwhelming - give me a buzz and I am willing to help you through it.

Congrats! I would be so stressed if I lost my first blog. I have been blogging since 2000 and I wrote all kinds of stuff about my children!
YIPEE!!!!! I am so excited for you Jade. It must have been a nightmare. You never know I might just call on your help at some point sooner than later. I have the domain but its still hosted through Blogger. Take Care and congrats!!
@ CanCan - yeah I thought I would lose everything. I had very special posts written on that blog so it would hurt if I can not access it again.
@ Lily - Yeah that's what I said too. I was so happy and thankful to find a friend that would help me out. Now I understand what other bloggers have told me - you really have more freedom when you are self hosted.
Girl, sorry I didn't know you lost your main blog. What happened? I have heard some disturbing news about Google that Blogger would just close your account without informing you about it. Is this true?

My blog is a self-hosted wordpress one. I love it, but I'm so tech challenged and I have no idea what I'm doing. My life would be so much easier if I was more knowledgeable about wordpres.
